You my friend have a gift with the simile. Reading “like Thomas Jefferson on No-Doz” that paints a stunning word picture. While I’ve always counted myself as a metaphor man, I have always been able to appreciate a nice comparison using “like” or “as.” And that, twin brother, was a wonder.
Use your gift wisely though Jon, as Uncle Ben told a young Peter Parker (a.k.a. Spiderman or Spidey to his friends): “With great power comes great responsibility.”
I have to admit, I still haven’t jumped into Book V. I was actually just thinking about picking up the book and jumping into the Chapter on Whiskers.
Let me tell you, that Laurence Sterne really knows how to keep a body reading. I’ll be honest I was getting a little bored there at the end of Book IV, but then L.S. goes and promises me a chapter on whiskers (and this so close behind the scintillating “Chapter on Things”). How could I possibly stop reading?
Well, I promise to stop wasting your time, and I won’t update again until I actually read more of the book.
Until then, I am, as always,
Justin
