How appropriate, Twin, that we’ve selected Laurence Sterne’s Tristram Shandy for the first book of our weblog book chat. For just as this blog is being begotten, so Sterne’s book also begins with begetting.

Okay…I only read like the first line, so I’m not even sure that that’s true. But I was really busy setting up this blog…so I get an easy out (that I was too captivated by Mr. Bean’s Holiday to get any reading done last night.)

I will start of with a quote re: Tristram Shandy from your literary bff, Samuel Johnson, “Nothing odd can last” (According to Wikipedia).

I don’t know what that means, but it sure sounds fun…
